Anyone can become a member of the iHub, provided they work in the tech field (programming, design or research). We have a 3-tier membership:
Current registered members qualify for white membership. Congratulations, but this level of membership does not permit one entry into the iHub.
Allows you to be part of the online community whereby one will be able to interact with other members via our interactive website (coming soon), with access to jobs boards, events and other online-resources.
This level of membership does not permit one entry into the iHub
This second level of membership is for anyone who meets the basic pre-requisites above and will be subject to a vetting process. Upon acceptance, one is given a special ID card that permits you entrance to the iHub for free. It will have your picture and a QR code on it to scan when you enter/leave, and it will be tied to your “member profile” on the site. This level of membership permits one entry into the iHub
The catch on the green card is this, if we get too many people coming in at certain times of the week giving us capacity problems, we’ll likely need to institute a cap on the number of days, or peak-days, per week per person.
Green members are eligible to apply for red membership. However, we are currently not open to any applications at the moment.
Vetting Process and Open Day
There will be a vetting process for the registered members to determine who will be accepted as green members. We will announce the green members sometime in August. In the meantime, we invite you to an open day at the iHub on Saturday the 31st of July 2010 from 10.00 a.m - 3.00 p.m.
