Wireless Wednesday: Using Technology to Enhance Productivity of Agricultural Value Chains in Kenya

As a continuing part of its series, m:lab East Africa will host a Wireless Wednesday event on 29th February 2012 from 12 noon till 2 pm.

The theme of this edition of Wireless Wednesday isUsing Technology to Enhance Productivity of Agricultural Value Chains in Kenya. The event will bring together stakeholders from the Agricultural field as well as participants in the value chain.

The event is sponsored by USAID through USAID Firm (Financial Inclusion for Rural Microenterprises)

FIRM is designed to facilitate the expansion and innovation of financial services in five areas key to the development of Kenya’s economic growth and prosperity: agriculture, renewable/clean energy, information and communication technology, gender/youth, and policy reform. FIRM will also capitalize on opportunities that can potentially advance the frontier of financial services into, for example, water, health, and education, in order to benefit marginalized and excluded populations across Kenyan society.

This event is intended to be a focus group discussion and as such is an invite only event. We’re primarily targeting people interested in the opportunities created by the synergy between technology and agriculture.

If you would like to participate in this event, kindly send a request to simeon@mlab.co.ke. Approved requests will receive an invitation to register for the event.
