Every day millions of shillings exchange hands and every day millions more gets wasted. Managing money in this economy is a necessary skill, that unfortunately hasn’t been learned by everyone. Sometimes, it is through no fault of their own, sometimes people just don’t know better. There can be a lot of debate about this but at the end of the day, when all has been said and done; the profitability or sustainability of a small (or big) business is measured monetarily. If this is the case, it only makes sense that those at the helm of these businesses should have a strong grasp on the financial health of their outfit. Unfortunately, this is not always so.
