This past weekend at the inauguralIntel Gaming Challenge, Nairobi gamers got to spend an entire day playing both international games and local games Ma3 Racer by Planet Rackus and African Legends by Leti Games.
We want to see the Kenyan gaming community move beyond simply consuming content developed elsewhere and into developing high quality games with both local and international appeal. We want to see more success stories, and we're willing to support the creation of these success stories.
It is for this reason that Intel is launching a fully sponsored 6 week gaming training. 90 lucky developers have the chance to learn how to develop Android Games optimized to run on the Intel Platform, via training on the Havok gaming engine, acomplete game engine solution for creating innovative games from start to finish. The program offers participants step-by-step training through the development of complete games.
Who should Attend? The course is aimed at anyone who has a great game idea, but who lacks the opportunity, skills or experience to be able to turn their idea into reality.
Requirements Participants must have previous experience programming in either C++ or Java and be available to participate in a 6 week full time fully sponsored program.
Competition and Prizes At the end of the training we will hold a Hackathon and reward the winning game developers.

- 2nd Prize- Asus Fonepad with Intel Inside.
